Nature's Paradise is packed with stunning pictures of the landscape, the wildlife, and the crops. Although it may not always be possible, with books like Nature's Paradise: Costa Rica by Douglas Goodell and Marco Saborio, it is easy to escape, at least for a few minutes. With summer vacation upon us, it is easy to daydream about going away on an exotic vacation.

If you can't make it to Costa Rica, this book is the next best thing. If you've been to Costa Rica, you will love this book if you haven't been, you will want to start packing after reading this book and seeing the stunning photography. In the meantime, this book shows Costa Rica in all it natural splendour.
Someday I hope to go back and see the rest. Seeing this book brought back wonderful memories of our trip but it also showed what we missed. It has embraced ecotourism and we were fortunate enough to see many of the wonders displayed in this beautiful book: a three-toed sloth, trees full of spider monkeys, the blue morphia butterfly, the Arenal volcano, all beautifully shown with helpful and interesting descriptions. My husband and I spent a couple of weeks in Costa Rica a few years back and paradise hardly does it justice. However, when I saw this book it really grabbed my attention. Normally, I am less the coffee table book type and more the books all over the coffee table type.
